Authors & medical reviewers
Every clinical page on this site names the person who reviewed it. Below is who they are, what they are qualified in, and how to verify that independently of anything we tell you.
Medical reviewers
Practising ENT laryngologists. They review clinical content for accuracy against current practice. They are not employed by us — they are independent partner surgeons, which is both why their review is worth something and why you should verify them yourself.
Assoc. Prof. Dr Raşit Cevizci
Otorhinolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery Specialist
Private clinic, Şişli, İstanbul
- Medical degree: Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine, 2006
- Experience: 15+ years, otorhinolaryngology & head and neck surgery
- Also known for: rhinoplasty, ear surgery, cochlear implantation, skull base surgery
Verify this yourself: search the practitioner register at the Turkish Ministry of Health / TTB using the registration number above. Do not take our word for it, and do not take a clinic's word for it either.
Clinical content team
Researchers and writers. Not clinicians, and never described as such. They draft from the peer-reviewed literature and consensus guidance, then send every clinical page to a reviewer above before it publishes.
—
Clinical content lead — medical writing background, no clinical licence. Responsible for drafting, sourcing and the reference lists on clinical pages.
Speech and language therapy
Voice therapy is delivered by qualified speech and language therapists, independently of surgery. Where a page makes a claim about therapy technique or outcome, it is reviewed by the therapist named below.

How review works, what we will and will not publish, and how to report an error: see our editorial policy. Surgeon credentials and how to check them: partner surgeons.
Ask about your voice
Tell us where your voice sits and what you want it to do. A bilingual coordinator replies and asks for a short voice sample, then an independent partner laryngologist gives an honest opinion — including “therapy first” where that is the right answer.
